Ojo Caliente – New Mexico’s Hidden Gem
In second place, Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs in New Mexico scored 64.16 points. With 2,630 reviews and a 4 rating, these hot springs come with a substantial price tag of $539 per visit. Despite this high cost, visitors still rate the experience highly enough to earn it second place.
“Hot springs create a naturally intimate atmosphere,” says Johnston. “The mineral-rich waters at Ojo Caliente are believed to have healing properties, and the setting is wonderfully secluded, giving couples privacy while they relax together.”
Blue Lagoon – Iceland’s Steamy Paradise
Iceland’s famous Blue Lagoon secured third place with a score of 56.62. It received the highest number of reviews among the top three at 20,022 and maintains a 4.5 rating. However, its rather high average cost of $229 per visit affected its overall ranking despite its popularity.
“The Blue Lagoon offers a unique contrast between the icy Icelandic landscape and warm, milky-blue waters,” Johnston notes. “Couples can float together in geothermal seawater while surrounded by volcanic rock formations.
