Now in its 16th year, the DIELINE Awards—one of the largest international competitions in packaging design—has officially unveiled its 2025 winners at Luxe Pack New York.
Today, DIELINE announced the recipients of its 2025 DIELINE Awards, with 169 winners recognised across 41 categories and 15 overall top honours. The presentation ceremony took place live on stage at Luxe Pack New York.
The DIELINE Awards continues to stand as one of the foremost global design competitions dedicated to consumer packaging. Sponsored by Designalytics and presented in partnership with Luxe Pack, the 2025 awards celebrated designers and creative agencies from around the globe, spotlighting the vital role of packaging in branding and consumer experience.
This year, the competition attracted over 1,400 entries from 38 countries, showcasing a wide array of inventive and visually arresting work. Among the winners were designs that not only pushed aesthetic boundaries but also demonstrated a decisive shift towards plastic-free and sustainable materials. The awarded projects highlight the work of leading design studios, in-house teams, agencies, and independent creatives shaping the future of packaging.
Chaired by a roster of distinguished design leaders, this year’s jury included notable names such as Rapha Abreu, Vice President of Global Design at Coca-Cola; Lisa Smith, Global Executive Creative Director at Jones Knowles Ritchie; Matt Sia, Executive Creative Director at Pearlfisher NY; David Hartman, Vice President of Creative at Walmart; and Justin Lortie, CEO and Co-Founder of Wedge. Entries were judged by a panel of industry specialists across five core criteria: creativity, innovation, marketability, execution, and on-pack branding. Each submission underwent two detailed rounds of evaluation.
The prestigious Best of Show award was presented to Mother London for Rollr, a refillable natural antiperspirant housed in a beautifully ribbed glass bottle. With its luxurious gemstone applicator and zero-waste paper refill, Rollr cuts packaging by 90% compared to standard deodorants. Because the formula is concentrated and requires consumers to add water, the weight shipped is reduced, helping to lower carbon emissions.
The Plastic-Free Innovation of the Year—presented in collaboration with the non-profit advocacy group A Plastic Planet—went to Morrama for Wild’s Body Wash 2.0. This breakthrough refillable system uses Vivomer, a biodegradable material that breaks down in soil or marine environments within six months. Unlike common plastic pouch refills that are often non-recyclable, Wild’s version can be dropped into an endlessly recyclable aluminium bottle, eliminating plastic waste.
Dieline’s editorial team selected Established NYC for this year’s Editor’s Choice award for their inclusive and accessible packaging for beauty brand Tilt. Designed for users with chronic pain and visual impairments, the range prioritises usability and comfort. Notably, Tilt became the first beauty brand to earn an Ease of Use certification from the Arthritis Foundation.
The 2025 Rebrand of the Year went to JKR for their heartfelt transformation of Manischewitz, whose new identity channels warmth, tradition, and comfort—much like a comforting bowl of matzoh ball soup.
Studio of the Year was awarded jointly to branding studios Wedge and Nice People, both of whom secured five awards each—resulting in the first-ever tie in this category.
Highlighting the measurable commercial impact of design, the Designalytics Effectiveness Award went to Interact Brands for their redesign of Built, a protein snack brand. Sales per point of distribution doubled in the six months post-redesign compared to the same period in the previous year, with the decision based entirely on market data and consumer testing.
The Design For Good accolade, which honours packaging created in support of social and humanitarian causes, was awarded to Nice People for their thoughtful redesign of Gifted. This survivor-led social enterprise works to eradicate gender-based violence and supports other survivors through collaborative business ventures.
“One of the most encouraging aspects of DIELINE Awards in recent years is seeing how many sustainable and plastic-free entrants have wowed our judges and nabbed some of the top awards,” said Andrew Gibbs, Dieline Founder and CEO. “Effective design that performs in the marketplace no longer needs to kick sustainability to the curb, and the future of the industry is bright indeed.”
